President Joe Biden Tests Positive for Covid-19, leading to the cancellation of a planned campaign event in Las Vegas. And it is very unlikely that this event will be rescheduled. According to a White House spokeswoman, President Biden will self-isolate as per the Covid protocols but will continue to fulfill his presidential duties during this time.
Despite his diagnosis, President Biden has reported feeling “good” so far (Thanks to the vaccinations). He shared this sentiment with reporters before boarding Air Force One to return to his beach house in Delaware for recovery. He was seen without a mask, along with others on the tarmac.
The timing of this diagnosis poses a significant challenge for President Biden as it comes right after former President Donald J. Trump’s nominating convention concluded. Amidst growing discontent within the Democratic Party regarding his candidacy, some allies and supporters have been urging Biden to withdraw from the race, doubting his ability to defeat Trump. We all know that Donald Trump a is very strong candidate for the upcoming Presidential elections
Biden’s Covid-19 infection is most likely to impact his campaign activities. If he continues to test positive over the coming days, it will limit his ability to engage in campaign rallies, interviews, and other public events. Which will lead to Trump getting more stronger in terms of the Political campaign. His doctor has mentioned that Biden currently has mild symptoms, including congestion and a cough, which could further hinder his campaign efforts.
Initially, Biden and his campaign team had planned a two-day visit to Las Vegas to promote his economic and immigration policies to Latino voters in Nevada, a key battleground state. Additionally, Biden aimed to connect with Black voters, speaking at an N.A.A.C.P. conference and participating in an interview with BET News, which was released on Wednesday.
This unexpected health setback will likely disrupt these plans, raising concerns about Biden’s ability to campaign effectively and address his critics’ concerns about his vigor and energy to take on Trump.
