Lujain Musleh was buried yesterday in her town, Kafr Dan. She was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers the day before.

There’s been a lot of violence in Israel and Palestine. The Israeli army says they were attacked, so they shot back. Sadly, 30 Palestinians have been killed, including kids. One of them was a girl named Lujain. Her dad said she wasn’t doing anything wrong, she wasn’t even throwing stones or carrying a weapon. It’s just really sad. She just looked out the window, and the soldier shot her.” The Israeli army acknowledged the report about Lujain’s death and said it is investigating.

There has been a lot of violence in the West Bank since Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, leading to a war in Gaza. On Tuesday, Israeli soldiers entered Kafr Dan, which led to clashes with armed Palestinians. The rights group, Defence for Children Palestine (DCIP), said Lujain was shot by an Israeli sniper through her window at around 2:10 PM.

The army said they warned people to leave the area before the fighting started. But, sadly, a 14-year-old boy named Mohammed was shot and killed by a sniper near a refugee camp. It’s just really tragic! The Israeli army is looking into this as well.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said they follow international law and don’t target civilians. They said that during conflicts, it’s dangerous to stay in active combat zones. The IDF also mentioned they killed two armed fighters in Tulkarm on Tuesday and found an explosive device hidden in a baby stroller.

On Monday, the IDF said they had killed 14 “terrorists” in Jenin since the operation began and detained 25 people. Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant told IDF officers that every terrorist should either be killed or arrested.

The ongoing fighting has caused a lot of damage, especially in Jenin. The local authorities said that most of the roads have been destroyed by Israeli bulldozers, and essential services like water, sewage, and electricity have been badly affected. The IDF said they would help repair the damage soon.

Israeli tanks with big shovels on the front tore up the roads in Tulkarm on Wednesday.

Israeli forces have surrounded Jenin’s government hospital. Dr. Wisam Baker, the hospital director, said that it’s hard to get in and out of the hospital, and only ambulances can bring people in. The hospital is using generators for electricity, and food and water are being brought in by ambulances.

The IDF said they are checking vehicles to prevent armed groups from using the hospital for attacks, but medical services are still continuing. The Palestinian Red Crescent said they are working hard to help people in Jenin, even though Israeli forces have made it difficult. They also mentioned that many people need medicine, baby formula, and food, and that some paramedics have been injured while trying to help.
