Pakistan vs Bangladesh 1st Test Day 2, On a very hot 35-degree day, Bangladesh’s batters played well against Pakistan on the third day of the Rawalpindi Test. The day was broken into parts to make time for Friday prayers. Despite facing some tough bowling early on, Bangladesh’s players held their ground and later took control, making the day an exciting contest for first-innings dominance.
Shadman Islam was the backbone of Bangladesh’s resistance, scoring 93 runs over more than five and a half hours. Three Bangladesh players, Mominul, Mushfiqur, and Litton, scored 50 runs each. But, Bangladesh lost 5 players and was still behind Pakistan by 132 runs. Luckily, Mushfiqur and Litton were still playing and did a great job together, scoring 98 runs without getting out!
Litton joined Mushfiqur at a crucial time in the innings. Mohammad Ali had just dismissed Shadman with the last ball before tea, and Shakib Al Hasan was out soon after, hitting the ball straight to a fielder off Saim Ayub’s part-time spin.
