Princess Diaries 3 is Officially Happening: Anne Hathaway Confirms the Return to Genovia!

I’m losing it, so I don’t know about y’all, but I’m totally losing it. Princess Diaries 3 is … actually happening. They, and you know who confirmed it? Anne Hathaway herself! Yep, you heard that right. So people, we’re all heading back to Genovia. This news is literally the best news ever right?

Here’s the lowdown: Anne Hathaway is back as she brings us our fave girl Mia Thermopolis and guess who directing too? Adele Lim! Also, the genius of Crazy Rich Asians, and Raya and the Last Dragon. This is going to be epic.

Anne literally dropped the bomb on us with a post saying, “Miracles happen. Back to Genovia with @adeleblim @disney @somewherepictures. The fairy tale continues.” Omg, someone pinch me, ‘cause I can’t even handle this right now. If you’re a Princess Diaries fan like me, you already know this is like the best thing since… well, the last Princess Diaries movie!

Of course, the internet freaked out. Fans were blowing up the comments. One was like, “I’m reaaaaadyyyy! QUEEN of Genovia,” and another said, “THIS SAVED MY LIFE.” And honestly, SAME.

Flora Greeson is writing the script, and guess what? The OG producer, Debra Martin Chase, is back too. So yeah, it’s basically gonna be LEGENDARY. Oh, and there’s talk that Julie Andrews might come back as the royal grandma. Nothing confirmed yet, but like, can we even do this without her?! Fingers crossed!

If you’re like me and loved the first two movies (I mean, who didn’t?!), you’re in for all the female power, mentorship, and happiness that made the OG movies so iconic.
