Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Will Be Crazy Fast With Snapdragon 8 Gen 5–Here’s Why Everyone is Hyped!

So, I was scrolling online and found some crazy news about the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. It’s supposed to have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, which hasn’t even come out yet. And guess what? The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 isn’t even out either! It’s kinda confusing, but I’ll try to explain what’s happening.

Okay, so Qualcomm hasn’t released the Gen 4 processor yet (they’re gonna do it next month), but everyone’s talking about the Gen 5 already! I heard Xiaomi might be the first to use Gen 4, but Samsung is getting ready to put Gen 5 in their Galaxy S26 Ultra. We probably won’t see that until 2025, which is kinda far away, but still really cool!

TSMC and Samsung Foundry Are Back Together
So there’s this tech leaker who goes by The Undead (seriously, cool name), and they spilled some tea on Weibo. Basically, Qualcomm is gonna work with both TSMC and Samsung Foundry for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. They also worked with Samsung Foundry for the Gen 1, but there were some issues. Looks like they’ve sorted all that out now, which is a good sign.

So… How Fast Is It?
The Gen 5 is keeping the same core setup as the Gen 4, with two big performance cores and six smaller efficiency cores. The performance cores are called Cortex-X925, and the smaller ones are Cortex-A725, in case you’re into the tech details. But the coolest thing? The Gen 5 is gonna use this 3nm architecture, which basically means it’s super efficient and fast. They’re saying it’ll hit 5.0GHz on the performance cores, which is just nuts! Only the TSMC-made chips will get that speed boost, though. The efficiency cores are still fast too, with speeds of 4.0GHz.

Honestly, all this tech stuff is a bit much, but the bottom line is – this phone is gonna be insanely fast. I can’t wait to see it in action when the Galaxy S26 Ultra finally drops in 2025!
