Who could have predicted it would become the defining slogan for the most renowned sports brand over the years? In 1971, Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman launched a sneaker company. This company, initially named Blue Ribbon Sports, required a logo, which Carolyn Davidson created. Despite its growth in the 1980s, Nike was still perceived as a typical sports shoe brand.
