There has been a lot of Political Turmoil in Bangladesh since some time now. As now after Sheikh Hasina Resignation, Some protesters went into the Prime Minister’s house after she left the country. The Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina, stepped down from her job after people were angry and protesting against the government for weeks. She was in charge of Bangladesh for over 20 years!”Sheikh Hasina, 76, fled to India on Monday. Happy crowds filled the streets, and some people even broke into her palace, causing damage and stealing things.

Bangladeshis in the PM House
Army chief Waker-Uz-Zaman said the military would start talks to set up a temporary government.
Just hours after she resigned, President Mohammed Shahabuddin ordered the release of former prime minister and opposition leader Khaleda Zia from jail.
In a speech on Monday afternoon, Waker-uz-Zaman said they would form a temporary government and meet with President Shahabuddin to find a solution by the end of the day.
He said he had already talked to the country’s opposition parties but didn’t say who would lead the new government. He asked people to trust the army and said they would look into all the killings and injustices.
Protesters were seen taking furniture from the prime minister’s home.
In Dhaka, police stations and other government buildings were attacked and set on fire. Protesters also tried to destroy a statue of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Sheikh Hasina’s father.

The army and police were sent all over the city, and mobile phone service was cut off for a few hours before it was restored.
On Monday, at least 66 people died. Now that Sheikh Hasina is gone, there’s a big empty spot in Bangladesh’s government. For a long time, her team and another team, called the Bangladesh Nationalist Party, have been fighting for power. Sometimes, the army takes over, like they did in 2007. A smart guy named Debapriya said that even though people are celebrating, some bad people are attacking Hindus, and that’s a huge problem for the new leaders to fix.”People think India supported Sheikh Hasina’s government. Protesters don’t see a difference between India and Hindu citizens of Bangladesh, which has led to attacks on temples and people.
“Now, with no clear leader, the new government needs to protect religious minorities.”
Sheikh Hasina’s friends say she’s not going to be in politics anymore. She was in charge of Bangladesh for a really long time – 20 years! She first became the leader in 1996. Her son, Sajeeb, told the media that she’s really upset and doesn’t want to do politics again. She’s basically done with it.”My family and I are done,” he said.
Critics say Sheikh Hasina’s rule was marked by forced disappearances, extra-judicial killings, and crushing opposition and critics.
But her son defended her, saying she turned Bangladesh around in the last 15 years.
“When she took over, it was a poor, failing country. Today, it’s one of the rising stars of Asia.”
About 300 people have died since protests started a month ago over a government job quota system. The protests turned into a larger anti-government movement due to harsh repression.

People Thanking the God after Sheikh Hasina Resignation
Dr. Chietigj Bajpaee, a researcher at Chatham House, said the high unemployment rates made the quotas a big issue.
“With 400,000 new graduates competing for 3,000 civil service jobs, the quotas became a trigger for anti-government unrest,” Dr. Bajpaee said.
He added that the fast pace of events showed the frustration among young Bangladeshis over the country’s one-party rule for the last 15 years.
“In a country with such a lively civil society, efforts to limit political freedoms and free speech were bound to cause backlash.”
Most of the quota system was scaled back after a Supreme Court ruling last month, but students kept protesting, demanding justice for those killed and injured, and for Sheikh Hasina to resign.
Mr. Bhattacharya said protesters now expect the new government to meet their demands, including democratic reforms, better jobs, and improvements to the education system.
