Mike Lynch’s Co-Defendant Stephen Chamberlain Fatally Struck by Car: Mike Lynch is Missing!

Mike Lynch’s co-defendant Stephen Chamberlain, was tragically killed when he was struck by a car while out for a run. Stephen Chamberlain, who was involved in a legal case with British tech tycoon Mike Lynch, has sadly died after being hit by a car. Stephen, 52, was Mr. Lynch’s co-defendant in a US trial where they were both cleared after the $11 billion sale of the software company Autonomy. Mike Lynch is missing after his super yacht sinked off Sicily.

Stephen was out running in Cambridgeshire when the accident happened on Saturday. His family says he was a “much loved husband, father, son, brother, and friend.” They added, “He was an amazing person who just wanted to help others. He made a big impact on everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed but always remembered.”

Stephen passed away in the hospital after the crash on the A1123 at Stretham. The driver, a 49-year-old woman from Haddenham, stayed at the scene and is helping with the investigation.

Gary Lincenberg, Stephen’s lawyer, said Stephen was a “brave man with great honesty.” He added, “Steve fought hard to clear his name in court this year, and his good name will live on through his wonderful family.”

Stephen used to be the vice-president of finance at Autonomy and was also the chief operating officer at Darktrace, a British cyber security company. Darktrace said he was a key part of their team early on and was loved by his colleagues. They sent their deepest sympathies to his family.

Meanwhile, Mike Lynch and his 18-year-old daughter are still missing after their luxury yacht sank off the coast of Sicily during a big storm on Monday. Search efforts continued on Tuesday for them and four other missing people, including Jonathan Bloomer from Morgan Stanley and Clifford Chance lawyer Chris Morvillo.
