They needed 185 runs to win and they did it, scoring their third-highest run-chase ever in Test matches. They won by six wickets, which is pretty epic!At one point, things looked rough for Bangladesh when they were down to 26-6 in their first innings.
But then Litton Das scored a massive 138 runs and Mehidy Hasan Miraz added 78 runs. Together, they had this awesome 165-run partnership that totally changed the game.
They ended up with 262 runs, just 12 runs behind Pakistan.
Hasan Mahmud, the seamer, was on fire, taking 5-43. And 21-year-old fast bowler Nahid Rana, who bowled super fast at over 93mph, got 4-44 as Pakistan got all out for 172 in just 47 overs during their second innings.
This set up Bangladesh’s run-chase on the fifth day. All of their top six batters scored over 20, securing the win and moving them up to fourth in the World Test Championship table, right above fifth-placed England.
Pakistan, who will host England for three Tests in October, are now eighth in the standings and haven’t won at home in their last 10 Tests – their worst streak since a run of 11 winless games between 1969 and 1975.
