Google Takes Aim at Apple: Every Jab and Reference Made at Google Pixel 9 Launch Event

At the highly anticipated Google Pixel 9 launch event, the tech giant unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, boasting impressive camera upgrades and sleek design enhancements. So, Google had this big event last night where they showed off their new Pixel 9 phones and some cool stuff about their AI called Gemini. But what made things interesting was how much Google kept poking at Apple. Let me break down all the ways Google took jabs at Apple during the event.

  • Gemini Everywhere Google bragged about how their AI, Gemini, is available pretty much all over the world, in 45 languages and 200 countries. They were basically saying, “Hey, our stuff is everywhere, unlike Apple’s AI, which is only in the U.S. and only in English for now.

  • Privacy Matters Google pointed out that their AI doesn’t share your data with other companies. This was a clear shot at Apple because Apple uses OpenAI for Siri, and people have complained about privacy issues. Google was like, “We’re the safer choice if you care about privacy.”

  • Live Demo of Gemini During the event, Google tested Gemini live in front of everyone, showing they were confident in their tech. This was a dig at Apple, who usually just shows pre-recorded stuff to avoid any mess-ups. Even though Google has had its own slip-ups, they still took the risk to show it live.Google Pixel 9 Launch Event

  • Pixel 9 Pro vs. Pixel 9 Pro XL Google made it clear that the only difference between their Pixel 9 Pro and the XL version is the size. They didn’t cut any features, unlike Apple, where the Pro and Pro Max models have different cameras and battery life. Google was like, “We’re not cutting corners like Apple does.”

  • Low Light Photos Google also compared the Pixel 9 Pro’s low light camera performance to the iPhone 15 Pro Max. They showed how the Pixel’s Night Sight panorama mode took way better pictures in the dark. It was their way of saying, “Our camera is just better at night.”

So yeah, Google really didn’t hold back on taking shots at Apple during their event. It was all about showing off how they think their stuff is better.
